Complete Bachelors' guide to Korean Food making

I've been living abroad, studying, traveling and working for over 10 years. and I never completely got over the Bachelor Cuisine, that consists largely of Ramen, Kimchi+Spam rice, occasional Kimchi+Span+Egg dishes. Well, I did cook BBQ for friends every summer party, but what is there to cook with SamGypSal(Pork Bacon)?
I was fortunate to have some free time this summer. and before I become NoChongGak(old bachelor, a negative term that people usually associate with old guy without life or girl) I tried to learn some cooking. Also, I was getting sick of pizzas, hot dogs, and even Korean food in 32nd steet, and cheap chinese food I adore so much around my neighborhood in Lower East Side, NYC.

My mother is a wonderful cook, but I never paid much attention to how the food is made. so I am searching online and funny thing about korean food is, there is no one way of making it. its all different.

Also note that I do not have much of cooking facility. As matter of fact, I do not have a proper kitchen. I live in a studio space with a bath tub, an electric stove, and a refrigerator. And I do not have much of koeran food ingredients. so this really comes down to Survival Korean Food.
